Air and water quality monitoring and assessment; operation of continuous air quality monitoring, meteorology, and data acquisition equipment; air quality modeling; indoor air quality assessment; emissions testing including VOC emissions; particulate sizing and control efficiency determinations; quality control and assurance; environmental permitting and management.

EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

Mr. Roberts is currently Vice President of Southern Environmental Sciences, Inc. He utilizes his nearly thirty years of extensive practical experience in environmental monitoring, assessment and permitting to actively participate in and manage all projects pertinent to his background.

Prior to joining Southern Environmental Sciences, Inc. Mr. Roberts served as the Environmental Engineer for the Florida Sugar Cane League. In this position he managed a large scale ambient monitoring network, supervised the preharvest sugarcane burning program for the 400,000 acre sugar industry and served as environmental laboratory supervisor. Additional responsibilities included air permit application assistance, SARA Title III coordination, and supervision of computer operations.

Other professional experience has included a position as Air Compliance Engineer for the Southwest District of the Department of Environmental Regulation. His responsibilities included management of the air compliance and monitoring sections which included facility inspections, emissions test review and enforcement activities associated with over 1500 permitted air pollution sources. Mr. Roberts has also held a position as Project Engineer with Conservation Consultants, Inc. While there he accomplished implementation and operation of ambient monitoring programs for TSP, SO2, and atmospheric fluoride. As emissions testing supervisor, Mr. Roberts gained invaluable experience in a wide variety of industrial stack testing projects including particle sizing and control equipment efficiency determinations.

Other experience has included a position as Environmental Engineer with the Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission (EPC). His responsibilities at EPC included review of air quality permit applications, industrial plant inspections of pollution control equipment, air emissions inventory report preparation, and enforcement of Hillsborough County air regulations. Mr. Roberts has also served as an Assistant Environmental Engineer for New Orleans Public Service, Inc. where he conducted 316 B biological impingement surveys at the company's two power generation facilities and instituted a quality assurance program for the company's NPDES data acquisition and reporting program. While at Florida Institute of Technology, Mr. Roberts worked as both a Laboratory Supervisor on an intensive waste water analysis program for an experimental ozone sewage treatment plant.
